Switching from Monarch to Imago

  2. In Monarch, download a CSV of your transactions. Monarch lets you export even after your subscription ends.

Questions people ask

Is Imago cheaper than Monarch?

Over time, yes. Monarch lists $99.99 a year or $14.99 a month for its core plan (monarch.com/pricing, checked 15 September 2026). Imago is $49 once. At today's listed price, three years of Monarch is about $300.

Can Imago sync with my bank like Monarch does?

No. Imago is built so it never touches your bank login. You import CSV files from your bank instead. If automatic sync is essential, Monarch is the better fit.

Can my partner and I share Imago?

You can both use Imago on the same computer, or pass a backup file between devices. There's no live shared household like Monarch's, because Imago has no server to share through.

Is Imago available in Canada?

Yes. Imago runs in any modern browser anywhere, and you pick your own base currency. The price is US$49.
